Italian Cup Purpose & Mission
Gold Coast Connect is a community initiative designed to strengthen connection across hospitality, tourism, business, sport and culture.
It exists to bring people together through shared experiences that build trust, opportunity, and long-term community impact.
The organisation is focused on using events and initiatives as a platform to create meaningful relationships that strengthen communities over time. The Italian Cup is the first flagship initiative of Gold Coast Connect. It is a community-driven football and cultural event that brings together Italian-Australian communities, hospitality professionals, business leaders, families, and local organisations. It celebrates Italian heritage in Australia through sport, food, culture and connection, while also creating opportunities for collaboration and community engagement. An inclusive teambuilding opportunity to spark civic pride!
The Italian Cup is designed to be scalable across cities, including future editions such as:
